"Leone Announces Intention to Run For State Senate District 9":
Letter From Allen Leone to Supporters:
Dear Friends:
After deep discussion, prayer, and with my family’s support, I am pleased to announce that I intend to run for the State Senate for District 9. This seat will be vacated as Steve Scalise heads to Congress. This district includes most of Metairie, Elmwood, and Old Jefferson. However, I will be serving all of Louisiana since I will be in Baton Rouge. I won 75% of the precincts against Aaron Broussard in this Senate District in my previous campaign for Parish President.
With your continued support, I believe I can be successful in this campaign. If elected I wish to work with Governor Jindal to continue to bring ethics reform to Louisiana and continue my focus on flood protection for our area. We need to keep taxes low for our families. We also need to provide incentives for companies to do business in Louisiana. Some politicians think we are doing well in this area but I believe we can do better. I am asking for your continued support in holding the politicians accountable.
In supporting me, your message will be loud and clear. We want change that will help our Parish and State move forward. The campaign plans to “Paint the District Red” with Leone signs. I will also be personally walking the district meeting voters face to face. Please feel free to leave comments and any suggestions you might have. Again, I would like to thank you for your continued support and look forward to hearing from you!
See you on the Campaign Trail!
Sincerely,
Allen Leone for Senate
